2 Cloche style hats using the same pattern

The following 2 hats were made using the same pattern from Crocheting for Dummies. The first hat was made using an acrylic yarn containing 3 colors using an H hook and following the directions exactly. Here is picture of the hat:



The second hat was made using Lion Brand Homespun acrylic which is bigger and bulkier, but also a multicolor yarn. I followed the pattern using an H hook but I changed the number of rows and how often I expanded and reduced the number of stitches since the hat was coming out too big and i wanted a 22 inch diameter. Both hats only took a couple of evenings to create and the the pattern uses simple single and double crochet with increases and decreases.
